"We took inspiration from different experiences we personally had traveling around the world and started creating different and new experiences from what was being offered."

Why did you decide to start leading experiential travel tours?

As tourism is relatively new in Colombia in comparison to other Latin-American destinations, all the “tours” available were generic and seemed rather boring. So we took inspiration from different experiences we personally had traveling around the world and started creating different and new experiences from what was being offered.

What do you hope to gain from showing people your environment and culture?

To fall in love with the beautiful landscapes and fascinating people so we can show another side of Colombia that is beautiful, positive and safe. Also, tourism is an ideal way to bring a source of livelihood that protects the environment and replaces other types of extractive industries that have a significant impact on the environment.

What are you most excited to share with tourists?

The incredible cultural diversity of Colombia, and how passionate, kind and welcoming Colombians really are.

What fears do you have about making your land and lifestyle more public?

There is always a fear of “over tourism”, but our objective is always to go beyond the tourist track and try to prevent these types of problems.

What specifically about your culture/history/environment would be beneficial for a traveler to learn about before taking their trip?

Don’t be afraid and nervous about traveling to Colombia. Yes, we had a troubled past, but now it’s a fantastic place to travel, discover so many cultures and natural riches, and it is a very safe place despite what many may think. Colombians are incredibly friendly (some may say we’re the most friendly in South America), and very welcoming with travelers.
